In light of the Covid situation, USDEC MENA continues to execute online marketing activities, in hopes that the vaccination drives will soon allow for the return of in-person seminars and conferences. After a series of successful webinars conducted last year, the U.S. Dairy Export Council hosted a webinar titled “Global Sourcing of U.S. Dairy Ingredients" for the MENA region on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Topics such as market conditions, trade dynamics, current logistics environment as well as U.S. dairy resilience and growth capacity were discussed by key risk management and logistics experts (Nate Donnay, StoneX Group, Inc., Sara Dorland, Ceres Dairy Risk Management and Eric Meyer, HighGround Dairy). The event was followed by a live Q&A session, which was moderated by William Loux, Director of Global Trade Analysis at USDEC. Nina Bakht Halal, Director USDEC Middle, conducted the welcome remarks. Furthermore, Terri Rexroat, VP Ingredient Market highlighted USDEC ‘s role, and introduced the three speakers. Audience of the webinar were from various MENA countries, representing prominent local companies (importers, distributors and manufacturers) from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
