Driving innovation and creativity, the 28th edition of Gulfood ran from February 20-24, 2023 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The world's largest annual food and hospitality trade event attracted visitors from across the region, unveiling new business opportunities and providing solutions to new and evolving global challenges. The show serves as a platform to establish close connections with leaders from the F&B industry, government associations and world-leading brands. USDEC together with 14 U.S. suppliers, exhibited in the show to build and strengthen relationships with existing or potential new customers through face-to-face meetings.
A culinary booth/demo kitchen was installed inside USDEC main booth. With the help of four student chefs that have completed the USA Cheese Specialist Certification Program at ICCA, chef Antonio El Khoury sampled US cheeses for exhibiting membership. U.S. cheeses were also utilized in multiple cooking applications, which served to show its versatility and array of applications. A space located at the reception area was dedicated for a U.S. Dairy Innovations Center which showed examples of multiple trendy and healthy products globally developed using dairy ingredients.
In addition, a U.S. Cheese Cave was installed this year, which captured attendees’ attention and featured a wide range of U.S. cheeses with a focus on specialty and artisanal ones. USDEC’s participation in Gulfood Show aims to reinforce the image of the U.S. as a reliable and high-quality origin for dairy products, while also highlighting product strengths.
